A cold evening and somehow the noise has died down. I find my way up to the top of my apartment for no particular reason. The day was good.
The breeze was strong, yet somehow it slowed down, as if in a mark of respect to me it seems to have bowed to me. It’s not gushing any more, just flows down gently singing a soothing note and cool just enough to send surprising a chill down me now and again.

My watch runs fast. In spite of the jeweler telling me that it runs perfectly, I know that its hands spin around the dial when I’m not looking.
Time seemed to pass very slowly when I was a child. The week before we went to the circus seemed at least a month long.
When my grandmother complained about time going too fast, I thought she was a bit daft. I thought she was the best grandmother in the world, but a bit daft. I don’t anymore.

As human nature goes we often wonder what we are, who we are and what our place is in the Universe. It would be totally egocentric to think that we are alone in the universe and we are the center of it all. We would be no better than when they thought the world was flat and the Sun orbited the Earth. So where do we fit in? Better yet where do we exist?

In research carried out by the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML), the number of first-time buyers getting on the property ladder was revealed to have fallen.
Over the course of June, some 35,600 loans were issued to those looking to make their initial steps into the housing market - down from the 39,800 recorded in the same month last year. Although the most recent CML figures indicated a rise from the 34,600 noted during May, the June statistics were the lowest recorded for the month since 2004. Meanwhile, the amount of loans issued to existing homeowners decreased to 66,300 - a shortfall of about 4,000 from the corresponding month in 2006.
